Get your customers big savings with Azure Migration and Modernisation Program (AMMP)

Simplify and accelerate customers’ cloud migration with AMMP

For your customers the cost of migrating to the cloud can be a key obstacle. It is, after all, the biggest upfront cost they’ll incur in their move. So removing some, or all, of the testing and professional services costs for migration can make your cloud proposal that much more attractive.

Did you know you could get your customers US$15,000+ in free professional services and up to US$5,000 in Microsoft Azure credits with Ingram Micro and the Azure Migration and Modernisation Program (AMMP)?

For you, as an Ingram Micro partner, AMMP is a great opportunity to simplify and accelerate your customer’s cloud move, offering them the opportunity to migrate for no, or a very low, cost, deepening your relationship and ensuring they remain with you longer term. (We recommend you offer the funding with the requirement that a customer signs a managed service contract with you for two to five years.)

What funding does AMMP offer?

The AMMP program provides up to $5,000 in funding for a proof of concept/testing environment for your customer. Then, when they decide to move to their production infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, you can get further funding of at least $15,000 to cover professional services from Ingram Micro.

There are, of course some terms and conditions. In order to secure the professional services funding, your customer will need to have a yearly Azure bill of US$25,000 or more – around US$2,100 a month. That same minimum spend will also give them access to up to US$5,000 of proof-of-concept credit to support the testing phase.

The two AMMP funding options are in addition to Ingram Micro’s normal presales assistance which provides all our usual assistance including solution architecture and design work.

Combined, they are a great opportunity to bring your customer to the cloud and to ensure you have an ongoing relationship with them

Four reasons now is the perfect time for AMMP funding

Current tough economic conditions mean your customers are likely even more cost sensitive than usual. Moving to cloud – and the move from Capex to Opex – helps make PNL predictable by paying only for what is consumed. And removing those upfront costs? Well, that’s a no-brainer in helping your customers.

At the same time there are several Windows and SQL Server versions coming to end of life this year, with Windows 2012 losing support in October 2023 and SQL Server 2012 reaching the end of support in July 2023. That makes now a great time to be discussing cloud migration, as moving to Microsoft Azure will provide with free extended security updates for next three years – and the AMMP funding will help make the prospect even more appealing.

We’re also seeing several partners’ customers using remote desktop services on-premises, running on aging hardware, and now evaluating whether to buy new hardware or move to cloud.

And finally, there’s the ongoing issue of security. Cloud gives your customers the best set of tools to secure their infrastructure at an affordable price.

Those drivers mean there really is no better time to be using the AMMP funding.

Don’t forget too, that if you’re a CloudMover members you can earn cash rewards and leader board points when they purchase Microsoft cloud products through Ingram Micro. Top the leader board for a fantastic VIP F1 prize.
